About Blessed Mama Birth Care
Hi! I’m Valerie Griffith, CLD.
As a Certified Labor Doula working in the Pittsburgh area since 2020, I offer personalized birthing, lactation, and postpartum support as well as childbirth & postpartum education. My goal is to give you and your family the attention and knowledge you need to make informed decisions about your pregnancy, delivery, and parenting. As a Christian, I promise to only rely on Biblically-based practices and guidance.

During pregnancy, labor & delivery, and the first year postpartum, you may find yourself unsure about speaking up and advocating for yourself and your baby to collect all the information you need to make an informed decision. That's not uncommon, and with me by your side, you will be equipped to assert yourself comfortably enough to then consent to or decline any offers presented to you.

I have 3 little boys of my own and have had a hospital OBGYN, midwife center, and homebirth experience. I can relate deeply to all of these experiences, along with the unknowns on the other side of delivery and the transition to motherhood. I am so excited to meet you!

My duty to the families I serve is to help cut through the chaotic noise of opinions and consumerism surrounding motherhood and parenting. I do this by providing evidence-based childbirth education to teach you what to expect and provide encouragement.
